Baptist Operation Outreach
Lack of housing should never be a barrier to health care. That’s why the Baptist Operation Outreach mobile unit goes to underserved areas to provide free acute and primary care, disease management support and prevention information to the homeless community. Our team of licensed physicians, nurses and social workers go to neighborhoods where the need is greatest. Baptist Operation Outreach, which includes a fixed location in midtown Memphis as well as the mobile clinic, is one of the largest health care providers for the homeless in Memphis, with more than 3,000 patient encounters a year. Gifts made to this fund help us deliver health care services such as screenings, diagnosis, treatment and management of specific diseases and immunizations to the most vulnerable in our communities.
